There is wax in the ears of both you and your crew. The only sound you can hear is the thumping of your own nervous heartbeat.

You and your crew are armed with spears and swords.

Five sirens, taking the form of vultures with human heads, land on the ship. In a burst of feathers, they transform into beautiful maidens and begin singing.

Thanks to the wax in your ears, the song has no effect. The sirens exchanged confused glances. You smile at their impotence and allow yourself to feel hope.

The nearest crew members begin charging at the sirens, their weapons raised with murderous intent.

In a second burst of feathers, the sirens disappear.

The charging sailors slowly drop their weapons and carefully kneel at the ground.

Curious, you run forward to investigate.

Where the sirens once stood now lay five crying babies.

These are not the fearsome creatures from myth. They stare back at you with large, round, pleading eyes and delicate quivering lips. An unstoppable compulsion arises from deep within you.

You pick up the closest child and hug it close to your body. These babies are humans. They need to be protected. They need to be fed.

The baby takes a bite from your neck.

You are dead. The End.

Storge

Perhaps another path will let you survive The Siren’s Symphony.
